Bio
I have been a clinical social worker since I completed my training in 1994, and a member of the clinical staff in Adult Psychiatry at Kaiser Santa Rosa since 2000. Prior my tenure at Kaiser, I practiced in several settings including forensic mental health, community mental health, psychiatric emergency, and inpatient psychiatry.
As a member of the Adult Psychiatry team, I provide a variety of services including: assessment; individual and group psychotherapy; psychoeducation; and referrals to appropriate resources and services within Kaiser Permanente as well as the larger community. Treatment is conducted in multiple therapeutic modalities, developing individual treatment plans to meet each patients' unique needs.
My experience and education are broad, with a BA degree in English; a masters degree in Telecommunications; and a masters degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Mental Health. I am Board Certified in Clinical Social Work by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work and licensed to practice in both New York and California. In addition to my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), I hold a CADC-II (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor) which is an advanced credential in addictions counseling. I am also trained as a Personal and Corporate coach which has proved to be useful when assisting patients with change making.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the corporate world in a variety of capacities within the telecommunications field. This gives me unique background when patients seek services related to workplace stressors. I also maintain a private practice in the community.

An adventure I've had:I am a seasoned traveler, having travelled throughout most of Western Europe; North Africa; spent a year backpacking in the Pacific including Indonesia, New Zealand, Micronesia, Thailand, and Australia. I also had a great adventure traveling deep into the Brazilian Amazon in a dugout canoe and staying in a community of indigenous people. |
