Yeast-Tahini "Cheesy" Sauce

Description
A nice variation on our classic Tahini sauce. Use as a dipping sauce for cut-up veggies and appetizers or as a sauce for stir fry or saute vegetables.
Ingredients
- 2 cup water or unsweetened soy milk
- 1⁄2 cup nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp ketchup, sugar free
- 2 tsp arrowroot (or cornstarch)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp onion flakes
- 1⁄4 tsp garlic powder
- 1⁄4 tsp ground tumeric
- 1⁄2 tsp ground mustard
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk until mixture is smooth. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Reduce to low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and smooth.
Notes
Tahini is pureed sesame seeds. It can be found in most markets.
