Bio Thank you for visiting my web page. I have worked for Kaiser as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since October of 1978. I began my practice in Southern California at the Fontana and San Bernardino facilities. My husband, Chuck and I moved to Santa Rosa in April of 1986. My specialties in pediatrics are preventative well baby, child and adolescent care. I have a specialty practice in teen GYN concerns and in lactation consulting. I believe that every child and parent are unique and deserve individualized care in order to meet their physical mental and spiritual needs. I work collaboratively with all of the pediatricians and nurse practitioners in our department. In having a nurse practitioner and a physician for your child, you and your child will get a complimentary approach to your child/teen's health and developmental needs. My husband and I live in the heart of the wine country. Even though we love traveling, we have found that we are blessed to live here in Sonoma County. Besides traveling, I love reading, gardening, cooking, being with family and friends, and sewing quilts. I have renewed my love for photography recently since I acquired a digital camera Education and Training I completed my Bachelor degree in Nursing at Loma Linda University in May of 1978 and my certificate program as a pediatric nurse practitioner in August of 1978. I became certified as a PNP in 1979 and continue to be recertified every six years. I received my Masters degree in Public Health in 1984, also at Loma Linda University. I am a certified Lactation Consultant, completing my work through UCLA in 1990. Languages Spoken: English
My Medical Specialty
More details about my specialty: I chose to work in pediatrics because I love the honesty of children and the ability to help families care for their "little ones" in the every day situations. My specialty interests and affiliations within my field: I value the gift of preventitive medicine in my care for the pediatric population. So I work with families to help keep their children healthy. One of my passions is to help babies initiate breast feeding.
Interests
In the process of all the photos that I have taken, (some 10,000 of digital alone) the moments I spend with others getting my shots is most important. My favorite book or author: One of these days I would like to be able to say that I have read and studied the entire bible
Family & Friends
People in my life: Chuck and I have been married for 35 years and have lived in Sonoma county for the last 23 years. He has 2 children that have blessed us with 3 grand children and 3 great grand children. They live in Southern California.

Travel
An adventure I've had: Chuck and I have traveled many places since we have been married. We love traveling. Our favorite big city is London and our favorite little city is any small village in Italy. One of my recent trips: As our family is growing mature, we are planning a lot more vacations together. Last year we had the pleasure of going to Rome, staying in a local villa and experiencing life the way the locals do. In 2010 we hope to go to Germany together to see the Passion Play that only occurs once every 10 years.
