Bio
I am a psychologist in the Santa Rosa Department of Child Psychiatry. I received my doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Family Therapy in 2003. My training has included a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, Santa Rosa; and an American Psychological Association approved Pre-Doctoral Internship at Shasta County Mental Health.
As a member of the child clinical team, I provided initial assessments, individual and family therapy, and short term skill based groups for children and their parents. In my practice of psychotherapy I emphasize the connection between the individual, child, and family. In my action-oriented approach to therapy, I help your family create practical solutions and useful skills to facilitate change. When working with children and families I use a variety of approaches to help resolve problems, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and family systems techniques.
I am a native Californian, born and raised in the Bay Area. I moved to Sonoma County to attend Sonoma State University and have loved Sonoma County ever since.
