Bio

Caring for your and/or your family is an honor and a responsibility I take very seriously. I look forward to our growing relationship.

I grew up in Berkeley, California. I enjoyed its diversity and played water polo throughout high school and college. I attended UC Berkeley and graduated with honors in Human Biodynamics.

My Medical Specialty

More details about my specialty:

I attended Michigan State University Medical School, well known for its strength in primary care training and graduated with honors. I completed residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I love the opportunity to see the spectrum of ages and take care of the entire family. (I have many families where I take care of all 3 generations!) With my training I am well prepared to take care of my patients both in the clinic and in the hospital.

My specialty interests and affiliations within my field:

In 2006 I had the honor of being chosen as the Director of the Pediatric Curriculum for the Family Medicine Residents in Santa Rosa. I am directly involved in teaching weekly, so you may occasionally meet a resident working with me.

Great health resources that I refer to:

For general information please see related links on this website, or visit the health education center in the West Building or the Stein Building. For new parents of newborns and young children, I highly recommend "Caring For Your Baby and Young Child, Birth to Age 5" by Steven Shelov. This is endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is available at most bookstores or online at aap.org. You can also purchase books on potty training, caring for teens, and many other subjects.

Interests

I enjoy staying active by swimming, hiking, and running. I also enjoy photography, a skill I inherited from my parents. I'm a member of a local book club and enjoy reading a large variety of novels.
