Bio I have been a Pediatrician since 1999 when I graduated from The Children's Hospital Residency Program in Denver, Colorado. Prior to residency, I completed my medical school training at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center also in Denver, Colorado. While in Colorado, I worked in a private practice in the Denver foothills for several years and then joined Kaiser Colorado in 2001. In 2008, my husband, 3 boys, and I decided to try out a new adventure and move to beautiful Sonoma County. We moved in June 2008 and have absolutely loved being here. I love the outdoors, running, biking, doing yoga, playing with my kids and I enjoy cooking and eating good food. Santa Rosa is a great place to do all these things and more! As a Pediatrician, I constantly strive to develop a warm and personal relationship with my patients. I have gained a fair amount of experience through the trials and tribulations of my three boys and I have a great deal of empathy and understanding of how challenging it is to be a parent. I like to work with my patients side by side in understanding their childrens' medical and developmental issues and work hard to make my patients feel that I am easily accessible. I look forward to a long and rewarding career as a Pediatrician with Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa.

More details about my specialty: I chose Pediatrics because I love kids and teens. I enjoy helping my patients and parents in navigating life's challenges and it brings me great joy to know that I may have helped a family. My oldest son Benji is a survivor of infant leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant at age 7 months. He is a very special guy who has taught me a great deal about being both a parent of a sick child and about how to be a good doctor. I also chose Pediatrics because it is a lot of fun and I love the smiles that kids bring to my day. I am also involved in a project around empowering our medical assistants and improving office teamwork! Interests
I have been doing Bikram (hot yoga) for a number of years. I love how you feel when you walk out of the hot room after sweating and working hard. I also love the time to be quiet and reflective. I have recently gotten into running (how can you not enjoy all the beauty outside!) Family & Friends
People in my life: My husband Bill is the Dean of the Business school at Sonoma State University. Both of us enjoy lots of outdoor activities, being parents, cooking and eating our creations (with some wine of course!). My children and people I care about: I have three boys. Benji is 10, Zachy is 7 and Ari is 4. The are rambunctious, loud, fun and very loving. They are master lego builders (our house is their personal "legoland") They all want to be master lego builders and "bone doctors" when they grow up! An interesting story about my family or friends: All of my good friends in residency had their kids around the same time and all of them boys! Mine are the two on the left. Travel
An adventure I've had: Moving to Santa Rosa after living in Colorado for 31 years has certainly been an adventure. Favorite place in the world: So far, right here!(A warm beach works too!)
